VIFCC
offers the following services:
Clothing: One complete clothing outfit for each household member
Every 30 days
Household Items: Towels, sheets, dishes, pots & pans (depending
on availability) Every 30 days
Choice Food Pantry: Allows client to choose food staples based on
Family needs. Every 30 days
Financial Assistance: Allocated only for rent if client has
eviction
notice or utility bill to forestall shut-off.
Twice in a lifetime with two years in between asst.
We also provide financial assistance for
prescriptions for
life threatening illnesses.
Bus Tokens: Provided for transportation to job interviews, drs.
appt.,
Agency appt.s, or educational purposes.
Ten tokens per month
Special Programs: Our Back-to-School Program provides clothing,
new shoes, back-packs and school supplies to over
700 children. The Christmas Program provides over 300
families with a food basket and new toys and clothing for
the children of the participating families.
VIFCC
is a Satellite location for the following agencies:
Goodwill Industries: Provides a Job Placement Specialist to help
our
clients find employment. They provide resume
assistance,
the know-how’s of interviewing and job leads for
qualified
applicants.
Every Wednesday 10am-2pm
Community Action Agency: Provides an Intake Coordinator to assist
our clients with their Duke Energy bill including
signing
them up for PIP or HEAP programs offered through
Hamilton County.
Every Monday and Friday by appt. only
Prevent Blindness Ohio: Provides a trained specialist to
administer
free vision screening and furnish prescriptions to
qualified
applicants.
Once a month
FreeStore/FoodBank: Provides a Foodstamp/Medicaid
Enrollment
Broker to assist clients with the complicated
process of
applying for food stamps and/or Medicaid.
Every Wednesday by appt.
BARiS Project: Benefits Acquisition Results in
Self-Sufficiency
assists eligible clients in receiving Social Security Disability
and/or SSI benefits, and free tax preparations.
